oh, I like having a Home Secretary that wears nice colourful coats.

OP posts:
MardyQuickFollowThatStar · 10/12/2010 13:15

That's true seth, her clothes definitely have personality.

OP posts:
MardyQuickFollowThatStar · 10/12/2010 13:17

and she has quite good legs too

MardyQuickFollowThatStar · 10/12/2010 13:18

yes, aren't the boots great?

Thing is, because she is in the public eye and the media loves picking up on well-known women's fashion mistakes so they can laugh and point (specially the DM) she doesn't have much margin for error - if you or I bought an item of clothing and wore it once and decided it was a mistake the only people who would know would be the people that happened to see it the one time we wore it. Whereas for her it will be immortalised forever. So I quite like the fact that she still makes risky fashion choices despite all this.

And I love her hair - it always looks so great and confident when an elegant woman (as she usually is) dares to keep grey hair IMO.

MollieO · 10/12/2010 13:20

She's had that coat for years (is our MP Xmas Hmm).

sethstarkaddersmum · 10/12/2010 13:21

LOL Mardy, have just noticed it's just you and me who are excessively interested in the Home Secretary and her clothes.

sethstarkaddersmum · 10/12/2010 13:21

You, me and the Daily Mail I mean.

sethstarkaddersmum · 10/12/2010 13:23

does it look better or worse in RL Mollie?

MollieO · 10/12/2010 13:25

About the same. At least she is easily recognisable from a distance!

MardyQuickFollowThatStar · 10/12/2010 17:08

Agree - the boots are great.

purplepeony · 10/12/2010 17:19

it looks bloody awful and she needs to take advice from someone with dress sense and style.

TheCrackFox · 10/12/2010 17:30

The coat isn't the best. FWIW it looks a size too big.

She normally has lovely shoes so she must know a bit about fashion.

HonestyBox · 10/12/2010 18:06

Oh my eyes.

MardyQuickFollowThatStar · 11/12/2010 14:57

OK I confess I've been looking at the DM website again

She's got a whole wardrobe full!
