Joules Kids sizing - what's it like please?

I've got a tall, skinny 9 year old - Gap shirts aged 8-9 (now a medium) drown him but 6-7 (small) are too short on body and sleeves ... so my dilemma is that I've seen a nice Joules shirt, 9-10 sold out everywhere but can get an 8 ... I wonder whether it's worth a shot?

I find them small fitting Millie, I suppose the only danger with buying an age 8 is that while it may fit in width, it may be short in the body especially if your DS is tall..

My DS1 is tall and skinny. I bought him the correct size for his age 5/6 or 6yrs from Joules, and the fit is perfect. I think the 8 might be small for him.
I bought this and it is lovely.
But also bought this, and it was very bad quality. Tissue paper thin, had holes after two washes. Very poor.

Small fitting I would say. You cam buy joules elsewhere, ASOS I think and horsey type websites sell it.

Dd is 4, tall and slim and wears 5/6 most places but joules she is in a 7.

I would say to size up at least one if not two sizes,

Thanks all ... can't get hold of it in J. Lewis or the horsey/country websites so shall leave well alone.
