Skinny jeans - can they be flattering to a tall size 14 woman?

I usually wear bootcut jeans but am bored of them tbh. Quite fancy some skinny jeans as I have some gorgeous shoes which would be drowned by bootcuts plus I have some lovely long-line tops which may go with skinny jeans.

Am size 14 and 5ft 8 but have a big muffint top problem and quite big thighs so I have (probably quite rightly) always avoided skinny jeans

Is there any style which may flatter me?

Well, I'm sz 14 and 5'9 and I wear them. Strictly with longline tops though. If you have a muffin top problem, then even a very light control body works wonders

of course they would look flattering
maybe get jeggings if you're worried about muffin top

try Primark ones, and yy to longline tops or jackets HEELS though

straight leg might be more flattering.

But if you are tall then I reckon you can swing it. Just go for a clunkyish boot or high shoes and tops with some sort of shoulder detail (military styling great for this) to balance you out. Obv go for dark wash denim. Don't go too long on the tops or you'll cut yourself off at widest point - bottom of hip best I think

My thighs are not my greatest asset but like you I am tall and reckon I look okay in skinny jeans as long as I keep the proportions right.

I wear them under boots and a decent top, Primarni ones are pretty good. (Though bizarrely the black ones are a much better fabric than the dark wash. )

Still not great on the thighs Cyb. They (and my bum) are my bete noirs (can't be arsed with poncey things atop letters, tis poncey enough to say bete noir, surely?)

OP- I have some Primark ones that I am about to do the off with, they're from earlier this year when I was a few months post-partum - PM your address and I'll send them. Much easier to get your head around a new look/ style without investing I think - then if you decide it's for you, go and spend some moolah.

I'm 5'11 and a 14. I live in skinny jeans. I wear them with long-ish tops or layer vests and long sleeved tees over the top to mask up flatter a slight muffin top. If you're tall, you probably have long legs. Show them off!

Pressure yes I do have long legs (probably disproportionately so as they are the same length as DH's who is 6ft 2)

I am a 16 and have skinny jeans, not mega tight and they are wayyyyyy more flattering than my bootcut jeans.
