Zip broken on Fly Mols - repair or replace? With what?

My beloved Mols' zip broke this morning . I fear I have destroyed the most comfortable boots I have in the middle of winter, and I need them because I'm 7 months pg and have to have something with grip.

Is it possible/economical to replace a zip?

If not, don't know whether to get another pair of Mols, or something else. WWYD? Any recommendations?

Wow, zip on my Mols broke last week.

My DH has heard of a place near his work which replaces boot zips, and is going to bring them in for me.
Most cobblers don't replce zips, but ask in your nearest anyway, hopefully if they don't they can tell you who does.

Or, email them and see if they'll repair them? Worth a try surely (I just have)

Is a thought, certainly. They're on their second winter, so am def out of any warranty, but then again you expect a £120 pair of boots (not that I paid that, they were from the Office discount scramble!) should last longer than a year and a bit, don't you?

Mine went last year, I paid £28, I think, the cobbler priced it per inch of zip length.

Well I got a reply, they are going to send me some new zips :o
I'm quite happy with that, it's bound to bring down the cost of the cobbler, and it would have cost me a fortune to send them back to be repaired anyway.

That's good to know! I love Fly boots, have lace up ones at the mo and have no idea where I'd get that type of laces if they break. They're really long and elastic so will ring them directly if they do
