Dark nail varnish recommendations

My current one is a bit gloppy & dries dull - what are the nicest ones?

Agreed Meggles. I am firmly of the view that many of the cheaper and budget ranges have come on leaps and bounds in recent years. I used to buy Chanel but it went gloopy very quickly. It's not quite as upsetting when a £3 Rimmel polish does that. Nails Inc lasts well and I find it wears off rather than chips. Get thee to WH Smith for a Glamour mag!

I have a creme dark brown, a cedar green and a petrol blue one.

OPI is also good (Lincoln Park after dark) and doesn't chip.

I've never got on with Chanel.

I like it. Prefer to to all the manky half-arsedly applied greige nails I see out there

Def not old hat its a classic.I had the grey last winter and I did like it but not as flattering.

Illamasqua have quite a few nice dark shades and their nail polish seems go on evenly with good coverage and last well.

Rimmels Desire is nice- dark purply red and Revlon Vixen ditto.

I have just discovered Aldi's Lacura nail varnish in 'chocolate'...oh my bloody god, it's amazing! Had it on since NY Eve, still looks as good as new. £1.99, can't argue with that. A big fan of the old dark varnishes me.

yes purplepeony, I also love Rimmels Desire. I have just tried Rimmels Night Flight, its really dark-a bit purple grape

my fav is OPI 'My private jet', Charcoal-y colour with sparkles. Wear is not too bad, I have it on 3 days and no chips so far, which is pretty good as I type all day. Rimmel 'Purple Addict' is great fun colour, deep purple with shimmer. Its the 'Pro' line, so has a really fab fat brush.

yy to nails inc saville row, also bourjois cerise noir. nicest dark colours imo.

No7's Blackberry is very similar to Chanel's RougeNoir. Not that I've ever owned a Chanel nail varnish but I've seen it in the filums...
