Men's jumpers - shawl collar??

Need some help from the MN style guru's because I can't make my mind up on this one!

I'm looking for a thick, warm, wool jumper for DH. His need is desperate. I've been googling (like you do Grin ) and everywhere I've looked, shawl collar jumpers seem to be the thing this year ( this kind of thing )

Now.... part of me is thinking 'Ooooooh, now THAT looks really warm and cosy' and part of me (the bigger part, ATM Hmm ) is screeching "VAL DOONICAN! BACK AWAY!!!" Shock

Which part should I listen to?

Even marie claire are recommending them, so they must be trendy.

hmmSleep · 29/11/2010 08:55

In fact both the jumpers they recommend have that kind of neck!

MrsCadwallader · 29/11/2010 09:43

LOL at Bruce Willis Grin but yes, you have kind of confirmed my gut feel. I was just wondering if I had missed the point at which horrible jumpers had become acceptable for the mainstream male.

If MC are recommending them is sort of suggests that they are now On Trend. Now - much as I adore my DH Grin I wouldn't put him in that category (and I don't think he'd thank me if I did Hmm) so I think I'll stick to a safer and more boring classic style....

More googling, me thinks.... (work avoidance?! No...... Blush)
