Black or brown boots?

I'd like to get these but wonder if they'd look smarter in this

Waddy think, style gurus?

brown def. Black ones look too bulky ( if you open them in sep. windows and quickly shift between them) and the shade of the brown offer quite alot of colour choice for tights/skirt, more than other browns. IMHO. Just look a great deal better.
