I am crying real tears, anyone have a secret stash of these or can offer something similar.

JL have it in stock in a 14.

navyeyelasH · 27/11/2010 14:25

I have the zara one in a 12 that I don't wear if you would like it?

AngryPixie · 27/11/2010 14:52

Muddleduck you are my new bestest ever best friend!

I was trying to find a [huffy emoticon] because I have checked the JL website every day (and Hobbs and House of Fraser) and it is quite simply out of stock everywhere, and I wanted to post a 'It so isn't in stock' type of response. But then I went to the JL website, so that I could link to their clearly out of stock page, and there it was, low stock in size 14!!!

Have of course ordered one instantly and I quite simply love you. Grin Thanks

AND NavyeyelasH I haven't seen the Zara one but if it is at all similar I would love to buy your one from you, as a size 12 would be ideal, and, in case anyone hasn't realised, I LOVE THAT DRESS Thank you so much for offering x

woop woop - glad you found it. I just took the dress out of my cupboard to photograph it, but as I only have my phone (friend has camera) it's come out naff!

It's actually a zara sized M, I am a size 12 hourglass figure (34/28/32) and have worn it maybe 2/3 times, but I've had it for about 4 years I reckon?

It's lovely on but a little bit too long for me (I'm 5ft2"), I prefer my dresses to sit above the knee.

How about I post it to you (you can send me P&P via paypal) and if you like it you can have it (It's just sitting in my wardrobe!) and if you don't like it you send it back?

It's the same apart from, there is a tie waist and the waist doesn't have that panel effect. There is no corsarge and the neck part is mort of a collar. Sleeves are the same.

Lovecat · 27/11/2010 15:30

If the one in Hobbs' window is a 12, would you still like me to get it for you...? (or are you going to end up with 3 of the same dress at this rate?!) :)

AngryPixie · 27/11/2010 15:31

Oh My Goodness, it sounds gorgeous, if you are really happy to part with it I would adore it I'm sure. I am 5'8 and a bit, so length should be good for me. We sound a similar shape although I have a bit more going on in the hips department Blush

I'm going to try out the mumsnet messaging thingy and if that works, you can send me the paypal details and we'll take it from there.

You are now my bestest ever friend too Grin

Lovecat if it is a 12 would you let me know, I could scoot down there and try it on (dragging protesting pre-schooler with me) and send the JL one back if necessary.

I knew that Mumsnet would come through for me, thank you everyone, it's a christmas miracle. Grin

you can never have too many dresses lovecat Wink

I don't think I'm signed up for messaging angrypixie - you can email me if you like imhayley @ gmail . com without the spaces!

I'm just nipping out to the shops though!

AngryPixie · 27/11/2010 15:39

I think we can all get messages these days, check out your envelope at the top of the screen, if not I'll try an e-mail later.

Thank you again Grin

Wow, I never knew that!

kingbeat23 · 27/11/2010 15:48

here I have a dress from them and perfectly cut and wonderful for hourglasses. Even makes those of us who are unfortunate enough not to have curves, have curves...

AngryPixie · 27/11/2010 16:50

I have many a wonderful dress from there Kingbeat but I really fancied one with sleeves.

Happy to help.
You're just lucky I've overspent on dresses recently so didn't get it for myself Grin

Tis gorgeous.

Lemonsade · 30/11/2010 19:18

Hello, this is my first time on Mumsnet and I found your thread about 'the dress' only because I am also looking for it, but haven't been as lucky! Did you end up with two? If so, I'd love to have the size 14 you ordered from JL. :)

ConstanceFelicity · 30/11/2010 19:23

Jeez. That is an amazing dress.

AngryPixie · 01/12/2010 08:59

OK, an update!

The dress arrived within 24 hours from JL, packaged gorgeously in a proper dress bag & everything
[easily impressed emoticon]

It is........ divine

The 14 is a little loose on the waist but I cinched it right in with the belt, and I'm not sure now having tried it that the ample norks would sit as well in a 12.

I wore it last night to the opening night of Matthew Bourne's 'Ciderella' and 3 (yes 3) strangers stopped me to compliment me on the dress.

Thank you everyone for searching it out for me, you have made this hour-glass very very happy Grin
