They have the same sole unit as my other ones and they were 100% brilliant on the ice last year.

Like the brown ones a lot, but footwear is the one thing I hate buying online, really need to try it on. Does anyone know of a similar style (with same practicality) available on high street?

I actually quite like the colour of the purple ones but all that lacing looks a bit much - If I have to bother with lacing I'd rather stick to trusty walking boots.

I like the first ones, woudl be good to try them on before ordering.

My 10 yo has similar ones to the purple but not for me I'm afraid.

Leather soles are really, really non-slip.
And leather soled boots are generally resoleable. Hence why you don't see them so much, I suppose Imagine not having to shell out for a pair every year. We can't have that. [sarky]

Schoon do some romika styles.

I had Romika boots last winter - these ones and I second the fact that they are great - mine are really cozy (thermal fleece lined/padded) and non-slip soles. I am almost looking forward to the snow/ice coming so I can get mine out again.

OP I have to say that your purple ones are more distinctive than I would go for but I don't think you'll regret them from a practical pov
