I love it, I have one from Zara and it's nice for going out.
HTH

Poledra · 24/11/2010 11:01

I think it looks nice, though I am a little disappointed - I was imagining a full-length hooded number, something I've always hankered after.

Floozle · 24/11/2010 11:12

Its lovely. I would like one but like Poledra, I want a long one and have not been able to find one.

Praline · 24/11/2010 11:20

That's not a cape! Batman wears a cape!

bronze · 24/11/2010 13:08

I wanted a big wooly one with a hood. I saw some perfect ones in Tunisia but chickened out. I want to pretend to be a sand person.

I actually feel a bit let down by that next one.

deaconblue · 24/11/2010 13:50

lol at scottish widow fetish :) Am hoping it will be a vast improvement on my massive padded school run coat that currently has to be worn for all occasions

Cape anyone??

wonka · 24/11/2010 14:39

Oh or here

Gracie123 · 24/11/2010 14:40

Yeah, bit of a let down for me too. I was hoping this was coming into fashion...

marge2 · 24/11/2010 14:42

You know you'll all look like vampires don't you???

wonka · 24/11/2010 14:45

LOL gracie.. great minds!

Gracie123 · 24/11/2010 14:54

Marge - as long as redone wear purple or green it's fine. Everyone knows you are evil if you wear those colours...

vintageteacups · 24/11/2010 14:57

Wonka - now that's a cape!

BitOfFun · 24/11/2010 15:26

The one on the M&S (or is it John Lewis?)advert annoys me though- the woman has totally bare arms in the snow. What's that all about?

Antidote · 24/11/2010 16:02

I was tempted by a cape / cloak for getting round the problem of having the baby in a sling and not boiling on public transport, but I couldn't find a one long enough to cover my arse keep my thighs warm / dry.

Clearly I should have gone medieval on the problem!

Opted instead for a purple swing coat from John Lewis which arrived this morning. Toasty!

WillowFae · 24/11/2010 16:02

I got married in one - had it instead of a veil as it was a winter wedding :D

PointlessNastiness · 24/11/2010 16:32

I have the black next one. Is ossom. Boys hate it natch.

PointlessNastiness · 24/11/2010 16:33

Oh it's you. God buy it. Or a fake fur coat

Rhian82 · 24/11/2010 16:36

I did the wedding thing as well, though more of a cloak than a cape. Here.

Suncottage · 24/11/2010 16:46

I tried the whole Scottish Widows cape thing - I looked like Harry Potter Sad

stealthsquiggle · 24/11/2010 17:43

short cape is disappointingly un-scottish widows.

I would love a proper full on long hooded one, even though I would look like a small mountain large witch. I had a school uniform which included a cape for one year (before I moved schools) - it was fab for snuggling inside on freezing cold trains.

PrematureEjoculation · 24/11/2010 18:10

a friend of mine worked for a certain large credit card provider wearing an Ann-of-Cleves gown...so why the hell not?

although a long cape just gets wet and muddy if worn in the country.

Gracie123 · 24/11/2010 18:19

Can't believe your school uniform had a cape!! Im soooooo jealous.
And I had a summer wedding (blazing hot!) so only got to use a parasol.

I want a cape so bad.

Have been rinsing DH because he has to wear his graduation gown to work some days and he looks like Harry Potter, but secretly I'm just jealous that I don't get to swan around in one Blush

wonka · 24/11/2010 18:42

I always felt I nissed out on the old fashoned nurses uniforms with the big hats and the capes Now we just wear scrubs - Sad

Gracie123 · 24/11/2010 18:49

Wow wonka! Now I want to be a nurse - but only in the 1940s...
