So what can I get for a Dec wedding that's budget?!

Thread title pretty much says it all. A friend of ours is getting married in Dec, its registry office, don't know what they're planning for afterwards and I have a tiny budget. I would probably need to get shoes as well!

I don't have a clue what to wear, or even where to start looking so any help would be fantastic!

What size / colouring are you? What do you mean by a tiny budget? What styles / shops do you usually like?

tillyfernackerpants · 23/11/2010 21:04

I'm a size 18, light brown hair. Tbh its been so long since I've been able to buy any clothes, I don't really have a style Blush. Shops I like are Monsoon, Next, White Company, sometimes M&S. Budget is £50 for everything, which seems so tiny when I've looked at how much stuff costs!

What size shoes do you take and are you looking for flats / heels etc?

I'll have a look for you and try and post some ideas. Do you have a bag and coat?

tillyfernackerpants · 23/11/2010 21:09

Size 7 shoes, and yes to heels. I have a bag and coat I could use that would be ok.

These are all New Look who have a sale on atm and should be in your size.

How do you feel about something short? I have light brown hair and green eyes and the dark inky blue colour tends to suit me.

Sequins are very in atm and I have just ordered this dress.

Strapless, sparkly and £20

I like this a lot and red is "in" this season too.

These "party shoes" available in a 7 though might be very cold!

Very good for £10!

Will change shops and have more of a look.

Nice purple from Dotty P

How about something like this - very plain with the New Look dark red courts?

What colour bag and coat would you wear (seeing as winter weddings usually involve a lot of coat wearing!)

Another nice one that I think could be a lot more expensive than it is.

Red dress with v neck.

Anything you like so far?

tillyfernackerpants · 23/11/2010 21:26

I do like the 1st & 3rd dresses, like the shoes too, would never have thought of trying New Look!

My battery on my laptop is running low so if I disappear that's why, will be back tomorrow Smile

I like this a lot but it is at the top end of your budget.

Supposed to be shape enhancing and available in your size.

Am off to do other things but let me know what you think and will have another look tomorrow.

fab ideas from MM, unsurprisingly Smile

saw this which is within budget with room for shoes, has sleeves (will be cold and maybe you don't like your arms? lots of women don't ..) with a bit of festive sparkle and range of colours ...

mermaidgirl · 24/11/2010 10:27

How about this dress

teamed with these shoes

or these leopard-skin ones?

mermaidgirl · 24/11/2010 10:33

I am loving this one here Tis truly gorgeous!

and these would hide the lumps and bumps

nice jersey dress here

tillyfernackerpants · 24/11/2010 12:40

Thanks everyone for helping!

Red/pink doesn't really suit me so tend to go for darker colours like blue/green.

Mermaidgirl, I love that first dress you linked to, do you think it would be ok to wear the black one? The wedding is in a registry office and I have no idea what's happening afterwards!
