Where can I buy decent toddler wellies?

I'm on my third pair of wellies for my 3 1/2 year old son.

They split along the back or this time along the side, without him having outgrown them and are currently lasting about 3 months maximum.

I've been buying £10 Mothercare wellies, but it is rapidly becoming a false economy.

Thanks.

Hunter wellies - expensive but fab fab fab and sell second hand too! Really soft and strong. Cost about £25 ish but well worth it IMO

Joules wellies, they are fab, £20...

maxybrown · 21/11/2010 13:09

Yes or joules too Smile we have had Joules this last time and very very similar to Hunters. What size is he? Grin

DS has only had Tesco wellies so far and they have been fine - have you tried them?

IsItMeOr · 21/11/2010 13:11

We have the aigle ones, but DS is only 20mo, so probably not that tough on them. They still look like new when he's outgrown them.

Clarkes wellies also very good... My daughter just outgrow them but all good condition after use.

DD's wellies are lasting well. They are from Jojomamanbebe. Not sure how much as they were a gift.

AnnieLobeseder · 24/11/2010 14:56

Crocs wellies. Mine have been going strong for 5 years. Even DH's Hunters haven't lasted that long. And they're wonderfully light for little feet. Plus the foam they're made of is insulating so they're really warm too. Can't say enough good things about them.

Asda occasionally do really good boys wellies, they are green, come almost up to the knee and have a good heavy duty sole. They are about £6 iirc. Ds has had a few pairs of these and they are now getting used by DD and are still good as new.
