Hi there,

Thinking of getting some By Terry Eclat Opulent while Space NK have the 20% offer.....

But can someone just help me out with a couple of questions.

Can you just wear this without anything else, i.e blusher, concealer?

I currently don't really use any foundation so want something that will do the job without spending too much time otherwise I know I will just end up not using it!!!!

Also, does it feel a bit like putting on moisturiser as in the past some foundations
have made my skin feel really tight and have added to the overall dryness.

Any advice/experience would be greatfully received.

Thanks

It is basically a foundation, so you do need some blusher and concealer if you normally wear them. By Terry do great blushers and two lovely concelaers - Touche expert (lighter coverage) and Touche veloutee (a bit heavier). I personally always wear moisturiser under foundation (even the tinted moisturiser I normally use instead of foundation). I'd think you might need to do the same if your skin is prone to dryness.

If you can get into a Space NK, that's ideal because you can play with the products and ger knowledgeable advice.

Strangely, I went into Space NK yesterday all fired up to splash out on the Eclat Opulent because of recommendations on here, but the By Terry specialist told me it would be too heavy for me, and I should stick to their tinted moisturiser - preferably with their primer Eclat de Teint underneath of cours! (Though this isn't essential, specially on well-moisturided skin).

Good hunting!

How much does it make it with the offer?

polyhymnia · 20/11/2010 11:29

concealers not concelaers
and get not ger
and course not cours!

Sorry typed in haste.

I have the Eclat Opulent, and I agree that it is very heavy. I just did not get on with it at all, and I have quite dry skin. I was always conscious that I was wearing it.

Sorry to hear that - but at least it suggests the By Terry woman in Space NK was giving genuinely good advice. Usuallly do find them reliable.

slight hijack but I went into SNK yesterday and looked at By terry Touche Lumiere foundation- and it seemed very dry on my hand.

polyhymnia · 20/11/2010 12:53

Which one is that, purplepeony??

The two foundations I know, apart from the Eclat Opulent, are the Eclat de Rose, which is the tinted moisturiser, and the Light Expert - quite a light one.

The Touches I know (Expert and Veloutée) are both concealers.

All a bit confusing! Think the products could be named more clearly.

Hi Natasha1, I bought the Eclat Opulent and really like it. Having said that,I don't think it's any better than the Chantecaille Future Skin which is a lot chepaer.

EO is a foundation in the normal way so you need blusher etc. with it.

The one thing I will say about both Eclat Opulent and Future Skin is that they look almost as good at the end of the day as at the start. And they seem to be a form of treatment for the skin also.

I guess you get what you pay for.
