The last two L K Bennett dresses are nice but very unsexy - what's the occasion?

whoneedssleepanyway · 19/11/2010 12:13

I agree Bonsoir, I wear both those for work so wouldn't feel v special.

Just going out with a group of friends and their other halves but wanted to do something a bit out of the ordinary.

Are those dresses you have or ones you're considering buying?

I wouldn't worry too much about the dress's smartness, unless it's a major occasion. Smartness can be achieved with "done" hair and makeup and jewellery (ie casual-ish clothes, smart presentation).

I love the whistles dress. The others are nice too but would need glamming up with jewellery, leather boots etc.

You could wear the grey one with the sequins with some kind of fur collar or gilet? And boots.

whoneedssleepanyway · 19/11/2010 12:20

They are dresses I already have...

The last two I wear for work. The Whistles one I had for my sister's hen do in the summer.

The first one I tend to wear in the day but thought with v high black suede shoes which I have and opaques it could look ok.

The other one I had last Christmas.

Depends if you want to look classy or sexyHmm.
The Bennet black dress with some real (as in not costume) quality jewellery and nice heels(Louboutin? Jimmy's?) would be nice.
The first is a no, the second would take you to polo tournament.

i like bonsoir's idea of adding fur... I would wear the whistles dress with grey opaques or nude tights, heels and something like this or this.

Or press the fuck it button and buy a new dress Grin
