Urgent: Kickass hair stylist in YORK required by morning!

Heeeelp meeeee!

I have a much needed day in York tomorrow. I want to take this chance to meet a great hairstylist, and talk about my dull hair. Their mission will be to perm my hair into Provost these curls.

Where do you suggest? Who would you trust? Who would you say to avoid?

The city is a good hour and half away, but it's my nearest so I think it's my best chance of meeting a skilled, brave and funky stylist.

I always go to Saks (above Monsoon, near Bettys) but I don't know how kickass they are? There are quite a few smart salons near that part of town. V posh place up by St Michael Belfrey - next to Links. Then there is one next to Macdonalds and a nice place (or two maybe?) round in the Grape Lane area.

Right. I'm off to get ready and make myself presentable enough to sit in front of a mirror for a long time. Hate hairdressers. Too long to look at face and loose hope.
