How tight are you meant to pull the tape measure?
Will the measurement you give be the actual size of the dress or will there be some give?

Flustered, hot and a bit cross. Help!

I would take a deep breath and puff my entire chest and waist outwith it. And then pull the tape tight on the puffed out waist/chest. I change two whole bra sizes (the numbers) when I do this! Clothes are awful if they don't let you breathe deeply.

I eat big meals, too,so would be tempted to add a cm to the measurements because nothing is worse than feeling cramps after a meal because your waistband (or bra) is too tight.
