...I want the expert opinions of you lovely styley types.

I bought this one

I have high, strappy black shoes with diamante details up the top of the foot a bit like these. Will they be ok?

And then I want some kind of biggish necklace, maybe? And a shrug thingy, perhaps.

TBH buying the dress has totally used up all my style imagination, so I could really do with your input. If it's not too much trouble. Pretty please.

I wouldn't do big necklace, the details (sequins)on dress, straps on shoes and diamante are all delicate.

Keep the knecklace delicate too,or it will be too 'heavy'.

Ooh, like the dress. Personally I wouldn't wear any necklace at all as the dress has got quite a lot of detail in the shape. I'd go for dangly earrings instead, and perhaps a black fake fur shrug type thingy.

Shodan · 13/11/2010 20:40

Really? No necklace or a small one? Ok. I can do that. Can't do dangly earrings anymore, sadly - am a 'no lobes' type and they drag the earlobes down.

Not sure about a furry shrug- it has to fit under my coat so I don't freeze on the way there.

Will check out delicate necklaces though.

Thank you both muchly.

I wouldn't wear black shoes with a navy dress. I'd either find sparkly navy ones or go for silver.

I'm a fan of big jewellery but I'd go with a pretty piece of silver for this dress if you'r e sticking with delicate sparkly shoes.

Shodan · 13/11/2010 20:51

Oh. Aargh. I was a bit worried about the shoes.

It doesn't look very navy - it's almost black. Still not good though? Will look for silver shoes and see what I can find.

It's a definite for the delicate necklace then. That's fine. Good, in fact.

I'm funny about dark colours that aren't actually black. Am not particularly styley though Wink
