what to put in high heels to make them comfy

ladies i need your help!
have fallen in love with these and brought them www.newlook.com/shop/womens/shoes/suedette-platform-court_206831201
normally i would'nt wear such high ones, i'm more of a ballet pump girl! wearing them out tom night and i imagine they will be killing my feet in the first hour.
is there anything i can put in which will actually make difference to the comfort?

Scholl Party Feet inserts are pretty effective and quite cheap.

I've used those party feet things which go under the balls of your foot. Makes a difference to me but I guess it depends what the problem is likely to be.

I've tried every shoe insert going to try to make high heels comfy because like you I live in flats.

I haven't found anything that really works. I just make sure I have flats to travel and from the place I want to wear the heels to minimise the time spent walking in them.

It does suck not being able to tolerate high heels because they do look so lovely :(

This sounds awful but you can take a couple of paracetamol "in advance" to dull your pain receptors which really does work.

Bad though. As if your liver is not going to take enough of a beating on a night out!

The gel things do work - but the thing that works best is wearing high heels a lot! I bought some super high ones that I love and dared to wear them to work. The first day I was nearly hobbling by hometime but brought flats with me to go home in. Now I could run in them, and I find them really quite comfy.

Has anyone tried these?

Party Feet don't work ime. Id love to wear heels again but the orthaheel inserts are very expensive. Would like to hear if they've worked for anyone else.

At the risk of sounding like a ponce with money to burn (I'm really not!), I've discovered that it's the shoes themselves that make the difference comfort-wise. Cheap high heels will never be comfortable as they are designed purely for fashion. Spend a bit more money (I don't mean Jimmy Choos, but usually at £50 upwards for a pair of average shoes) and I tend to find that they've designed them with the thought that you have to walk in them! They just seem to be balanced better.
I tend to wait for sales when you can get good discounts.
In general, I'm not fussed about labels and love a bargain. BUT! Too many nights hobbling about have taught me that cheap shoes are just false economy.
Alternatively, have a capacious handbag and stick some ballet flats in there!

An even more poncey money to burn option would be collagen injections in the balls of your feet! Celebs apparently do this.

I've got enough crevices to fill in my face without doing the foot thing though, if I were to go down that road. Which I probably wont!
