Post-bikini wax hair regrowth: how to avoid pimples?

Hi all, I have a muff that makes grown men tremble and I try to keep it within normal limits by waxing. Trouble is within a couple of days I get terrible red lumps where hair starts to grow through. I've tried exfoliation but it seems to make no difference and I someitmes think the stubble looks worse than the hair.

Any suggestions?

A product called 'Tend Skin', all the waxees I know swear by it. I think it's quite expensive and you can only get it online/mail order though.

I'm the same, Sheila. I'd love to have brazilian waxes (I'm well 'ard) but I know I'd look like a plucked chicken with angry red goosebumps within a couple of days. Has anyone here used Tend Skin?

Have ordered some over the net - will report back on receipt. I think I used something similar once before called Ingrow Go. Not sure whether it did any good - I was reluctant to use it becuase it stank like rubbing alcohol! Would be interested to hear, like Satine, whether anyone has had any success with Tend Skin.

I've used Tend Skin and it didn't work for me, actually had to stop waxing for a while as the scars from the ingrowing hairs looked worse than stubble. The New York Nail Company stores sell it if you have one near you.

Gone back to waxing, but this time with hot wax not strip wax, and it seems to be much better. A couple of ingrowing hairs, but i'm going to persist with exfoliation this time.

Also read in a mag that putting roll on anti-perspirant over the area helps, but I've never tried it??

Stitch you're not sad. You're a well-adjusted person like me, with all the right priorities.

If all else fails shave daily or every second day? Works for me, no more ingrown hairs & no prickly stubble.
