Smart/Casual? Help!!

I'm off on a three-day training course where the dress code is smart/casual and I need some help!

What sort of things would you class as smart/casual? I don't think I've got anything in my wardrobe that would fit into this and I suspect jeans might be pushing it too far.

I've clearly got to go out shopping, so wondered what sort of things I should be looking for...

Thanks in advance!

Guessing that it's indoors ? would go for just an office sort of look - smart trousers and a few nice tops (cardi/blouse look), smallish heels and perhaps a nice jacket tbh I wouldn;t go and spend a fortune on clothes that you won't be wearing again, take a couple of "dressy" things for evening meals tho. have fun,

Yes, it's indoors...thanks very much for your suggestions. I was a bit stumped as I've spent the last 7 years as a SAHM and have graduated towards the 'jeans and...' uniform!

It'll be nice to wear something different.

how about smart, dark leggings/jeggings with a long jumper and boots?
