Dull Diamante

I have a pair of diamante ear rings (and a necklace) from about 20 years ago. I fished them out, thinking I could wear them to a party, only to find they look definitely dull.

Can I clean them? If so how? Or are they done for?

Well, I find an old toothbrush and washing-up liquid works well on my diamond engagement ring Smile

I might have to try that, sapphire. Although your diamond engagement ring is probably a bit more durable than my cheapo diamante. It's not wearable as it is anyway.

Not a great deal you can do unfortunately as its usually the reflective surface at the back of the stone that has bitten the dust.

If you like them though it is fairly easy and cheap enough to source cubic zirconia or swarovski and get a pair made up?

Thx Beth. I'll try washing them, and if not, hit the online shops. I don't like them THAT much.
