Toast velvet slippers. Shoddy?

Has anyone else found this?

I only ask as I've had mine less than a month and the velvet is fraying at the trim around the top and at the seam inside.

I've not done any extreme housework in them - just gone up and down stairs a few times. I think the seam allowance on the velvet must be pitiful.

I only wish I'd known before I bought them, as they are so purdy...

I would phone them up and ask for a replacement or a refund.
