Have ordered them but now not sure - are they a bit frumpy?

depends how old you are?

LynetteScavo · 10/11/2010 20:00

Good for the elderly, or those who live in the Arctic Circle.

SixtyFootDoll · 10/11/2010 20:02

Def frumpy
Sorry

sexy2shoes · 11/11/2010 17:38

Sorry, there a bit frumpy, I bought a pair of these - sexy

Soups · 11/11/2010 18:03

I do love a pair of clunky, furry, winter boots but those aren't quite doing it for me. There's something odd about the proportions. On the other hand I've never seen elderly ladies trudging the high street in that type of boot. There are plenty of teens though to my age in various winter / snow boots. So I don't think most people would see them and go Uggghhhhh

verytellytubby · 11/11/2010 18:12

I really don't like them. I'd rather have a pair of Merrell's than those.

lljkk · 11/11/2010 18:18

I love them OP :).
But I would only buy boots that you could walk 6 miles in comfortably, in the case of boots thru the occasional puddle along the way, and still have warm dry feet when you finish. I don't see the point of other types of footwear.

notyummy · 11/11/2010 18:21

Depends on how old you are and what you wear with them. V hard to pull off without verging on the plastic rain hood look tbh.

There are some people that wouldn't look frumpy in them. They would naturally stylish, probably under 30/35 and very slim and long of limb.

sincitylover · 11/11/2010 22:14

thanks all

The purpose they are meant for is for days when you can't wear heeled boots.

I am a forty something but not long of limb by any means.

Thought they might be ok in an ironic sort of way Hmm

I would be wearing with leggings, or maybe thick tights.

Ill know when they arrive.

Crikey, Sincity, I can't believe the reactions on here, since when are high-heeled boots the only attractive option, why are Uggs so popular then? What size did you buy? I'd have 'em but they probably don't fit (nothing much fits my feet).
I guess you can always send them back.

ethelina · 12/11/2010 06:09

Well I like them. I'm 33 and I would wear them.

sincitylover · 12/11/2010 12:34

well today I am wearning a black knitted tunic, knee high boots(with heels) and silver grey crushed velvet leggings so don't think I am ready for the frump farm just yet

Wink
