anyone else have Vertbaudet niggles?

I bought a coat from them. Two weeks later I got an e-mail saying they couldn't fulfill my order (so I bought elsewhere). Then the coat arrived. And now they are sending me e-mails about a credit account that I know I didn't open - I paid by credit card.

I hate store cards and it seems dishonest to send me e-mails about a credit account that we all know I don't have in the hope that I will accidently go to the website and open one. I stopped dealing with Next because of the ludicrous credit account - hate it.

I would return the coat

They have taken ages for my orders too. Will bear in mind your post as I've just had a similar email saying unable to supply my order. Mine is trousers though so if I end up with an extra pair not end of world.

Send back the coat and I would ask for postage refund too if you had been told the order was cancelled (unless you also had other items sent from that order which warranted the postage charge that is).

My last order came within 4 or 5 days. The free gift came the week later but they emailed me to let me know.

I think I have always been lucky. My orders have always, so far, come reasonably quickly.

my orders take ages - very annoying! Can take a good week before they even let you know something is out of stock - and won't be in again! Seems on average to take about 10-14 days at least for the last few orders I've had from them over the last several months! I ordered some pyjamas last week and they took about 7 days to tell me my credit card was charged - still nothing here yet. And emailing customer service is nearly as bad! My previous order was meant to be for size 3y sleepsuits but when I finally logged in to see what was taking so long with order, I saw it said 2y (guessing I made a mistake, despite thinking I double checked the right size). So I sent a message but by the time they replied, they said the items were already sent out!

Much prefer buying from Next, with items arriving within 2 days!
