Maternity dress - help needed!

Hi! Really hoping someone can help me! I'm not sure if this should be posted in the Pregnancy topic or if it's okay here, please feel free to redirect me!

The usual Sod's Law thing has happened! Last year I couldn't find any dresses that I liked and had loads of nights out planned. Did get something in the end after searching for ages but I was totally stressed.

This year, I have seen lots of dresses that I like, but will be 7mths pregnant by the time the first night out happens!

The type of thing I'm looking for is like this and and like this, but I haven't seen any maternity versions. I have tried these on in bigger sizes, but wouldn't leave the house if I looked the way I did in the shops! Blush

I'm usually a size 10/12 and haven't really got a budget in mind.

If any of you lovely ladies could help me out, I'd be eternally grateful! Grin

Much as I hate to recommend Mamas & Papas, what about this or this

littlenuttree · 09/11/2010 19:07

Thanks crumpetsolo! Thought I was going to have to raid the cupboard with the black bags in! Grin

I quite like the first one but not so keen on the second.

Satin is not your friend in maternity wear, but taking the other one as a kicking-off point,

this (a little on the pricey side for maternity wear, mind you)

or this?

Thanks girls! Smile

The lace type dresses that tetheresend and ProfessorLayton (hope you don't mind me shortening your name!) have both linked to are exactly along the lines that I was thinking of.

I love the first one that you linked to ProfessorLayton - it's gorgeous, but you are right about the price! Eek! The ASOS one is also really nice - you both linked to it - but I'm a bit worried about it being described as a mini-dress, although I'm a little vertically-challegend so it may not be that bad!

I ordered a dress from Isabella Oliver when I was pg with DD but I found the quality awaful, espcially when you consider how much their clothes cost. I don't mind all the jersey type material when it comes to t-shirts and tops, but looking for something better in dresses.

You've given me some good ideas, will go and explore further. Thanks again!

OP, have you tried Seraphine? They have a very nice black dress with gold sort of belt (?), worn by Jessica Alba (or so they claim). Looks really nice!

tethersend, thanks so much for your link to FCUK dress for ASOS- love it!
