This is a bit boring, sorry, but not sure if I'm just being a grumpy old cow...
I bought a pair of boots last December for £140 which for me was a big chunk of money and the most I'd ever spent on shoes.
They were leather soled and a few months later they wore through. I took them back to the shop and they were fine about it, resoled them for me.
As they were resoled in leather, my mum advised me to get them done in plastic/rubber whatever they use, to prevent them wearing through again so soon. I did this last month. Now the whole of the sole has started coming away - the actual sole not the rubber bit.
Basically I'm asking, is this fair wear and tear? Should I just write them off and buy a new pair? I feel that they should last a bit longer than a year, but maybe I'm being naive.
