Do you think Ugg boots are still in fashion? and does anyone know the cheapest place to buy, (besides ebay). just found them for £40 in us but they dont ship to uk unfortunately !!

I would say 'no' to them being in fashion. But if you like them, then whether or not Sienna et al are wearing them this season shouldn't stop you from buying a pair. No idea about cheap stockists.

Thomcat · 16/09/2005 21:47

Don't know about being in fashion, I just know that in winter with the right outfit I like them. I have a pair and they are really comfy and cosy and I'll have them out again this year until I get bored of them.
If you like them go for it. 40quid for boots sounds good to me, they're cheaper than mine were last year.

Spoo · 16/09/2005 22:36

The UGG Boots originated in Newquay Cornwall but was bought out by a NZ company. The original UGG owner lives next door to my In laws. So to get the original - try the Original celtic company - will try to get you the website. I have a pair. At 70 quid - not cheap but very comfy. And they last years.
DH has been wearing them since 12 - way before Sienna and co.

Isn't the new fashion to wear no shoes - now there is madness!

jayzmummy · 16/09/2005 22:42

there you go
Ive been buying the uggs from here for over 10 years....they are excellent and by far my favourite boots.

GeraldGiraffe · 16/09/2005 22:44

SleepySuzy · 16/09/2005 22:49

JoolsToo · 16/09/2005 22:50

aren't they very last year?

lucy5 · 16/09/2005 22:51

i love them but it never really gets cold enough here to wear them, although you do see some of the fashionistas wearing them but I dont quite fit that catergory!

MrsSpoon · 16/09/2005 22:53

Would love a pair but my DH wouldn't be seen dead out with me wearing them ... hmmm, actually maybe that's a reason to get a pair???

jayzmummy · 16/09/2005 22:57

I dont give two hoots about what the latest "trends" are.

Ive been wearing Uggs ever since I moved to the SW 10+ years ago. They keep my toes warm on a cold winters day whilst I am walking the dog on the beach.

cinderelly · 17/09/2005 00:00

Sorry Mrs spoon but just keep imagining mrs spoon off button moon in ugg boots! PMSL

Spoo · 17/09/2005 11:20

UGG boots are comfy and they keep your feet warm and I love em.

MrsSpoon · 17/09/2005 12:32

LOL cinderelly, perhaps it wasn't the best nickname to choose to convince anyone I'm the least bit stylish!

Nbg · 17/09/2005 12:35

I got some last year, not Uggs but exactly the same.

I'll definatley be wearing them this year, they are soooo warm and comfy.

mugface · 19/09/2005 14:00

don't think they are in. last month they had size 7/8 ones for £30 quid ish in TK Maxx

codswallop · 28/09/2007 16:32

.

TheBlonde · 28/09/2007 17:58

So are they useless in rain?

PeckaRolloverAgain · 28/09/2007 18:02

They wreck in the rain!

Mine from last year are knackered and I WILL be purchasing again this year.

Would love a pair but my DH wouldn't be seen dead out with me wearing them ... hmmm, actually maybe that's a reason to get a pair???" - how strange, I was about to post on this thread that I didn't like them, I obviously must have liked them two years ago! However it is very cold here just now and if it gets much worse I would consider them as they look cosy.

cocolepew · 28/09/2007 18:06

Thanks Cod. I think, Theblonde, that if you spray them with protector they'll be ok.

TheBlonde · 28/09/2007 19:12

hmm it gets pretty wet here so not convinced they are a good plan for me

where can you find them in RL so you can try on for size?

cocolepew · 28/09/2007 19:15

Where do you live that's so rainy? Friend said that on ebay they say to buy a size smaller than usual. Some sites tell you to measure your foot from heel to toe and then they tell you what size.
