jeans for size 16 plus?

Need jeans for running around in. I can never find the right dresses/tunics for wearing over leggings, so I live in jeans. Ideally I want a very dark blue pair.

I tried oasis this week but they didn't work for me - 14 just too snug and 16 had weird creases that weren't flattering.

Any thoughts?

I normally get them from M&S - but they seem to have changed them this year and the quality of denim is crap, plus they look cheap. My old ones were a bit boring but at least they didn't look that bad (to me anyway...)

Off to the states for thanksgiving at the end of the month so will get some gap/DKNY there, but in the meantime are there any brands I should try?

I have these. I'm a 16 and find them quite flattering - can't go wrong for 2 for £25.

ok thanks will try. Bought some from DP before and found the denim a bit thin but haven't been in recently.

I just bought some from M&S - have a look at Autograph rather than the normal range. Also in teh normal range they have the super cheap ones whcih do look quite cheap and then some around £20 and £30 which are definitely thicker - and lots of colours of denim and some definitely look better than others.

I'm usually a 16 although in 18 at the moment as just had a baby, and found the M&S ones to be pretty good.

thanks meg - I was in a rush last time I went to m&S so missed the autograph ones. Will have another look.

Will have a look online now.

I am an 18 and swear by Rocha John Rocha in Debenhams - they retail @ £45-£50, but I have bought a couple of pairs on e-bay for under a tenner.

Wrangler jeans are proper thick denim ones. They are really comfy too and I am a size 18.

I wear the autograph m&s ones. They are a better quality and seem to last. I have one pair that are at least 3 years old and still going fine.

Yay more brands to check out. Assume you can get wrangler at House of Fraser maybe?

Debenhams easy to get to so will try the rocha ones too. Don't mind paying more for better denim that will last and not fade...

I love Levi 629 style. Holds in muffin top, good quality thick denim, lasts ages. And I am a size 14/16 too.

Haven't tried to wear levis for years.

But maybe will try again if these other suggestions don't work. I used to find it pretty depressing that their jeans never fit me.
