Help required finding some wide fitting boots for dd

My dd has unfortunately inherited her dad's wide feet. This doesn't give us much option when choosing shoes but am finding it impossible for finding some boots(other than wellies). She is measuring size 8 1/2 H, but Clark's have advised to go for a 9G. However she can't seem to get her foot past the ankle part because she is so wide.
Are all children's boots like this or has anyone come across some that are ok?
I have tried the 'snugg' type boots and she can get these on but I do worry about them not supporting her feet.
My other problem is I really cannnot justify spending over £30 which obviously narrows my options.

Sorry to have gone on Blush but can anyone help??

umi are very good for wide feet. my dd is almost 2, but she has wide feet, and they are very good for her. look at amazon, they have promotions from time to time- nothing at the moment, but these are only 10 pounds more than your limit- www.amazon.co.uk/Umi-Childrens-Junior-Makoto-Raspberry/dp/B003BIGPFC/ref=sr_1_20?s=shoes&ie=UTF8&qid=1288911733&sr=1-20&searchContext=B002POCG4W,B003BIGNK4,B002NKMOH2,B002NKMM1U,B001F7B97U,B002NKML3E,B003BIGPMA,B001S2Q18E,B002NKML20,B002NKMJIG,B001S2QEYU,B002NKMM92,B001S2QBUC,B002NKMLTS,B001S2Q44A,B002POCIL8,B002NKMKC6,B001FA1PDA,B002NKMK0S,B003BIGPFC,B002NKMK8U,B001S2Q77Y,B002NKMKTE,B002NKMMFG
