Help me accessorise a dress!

Hey!

I'm off to a wedding this weeking, and have just bought a black and white polka dot prom style dress

not dismilar to this, although it has a v neckline front and back

Can you's all help me to accessorise it? I already have either simple black or red kitten heel shoes, and can't really afford and don't really have time to wear in new ones.

I'm 5ft 8', a size 18, long dark hair with fringe (been told I look like kate nash or zooey dechanel or liv tyler in the past), pretty face and good tits, but sadly crap flabby body just now. The dress manages to flatter thankfully, being mid calf length and showing off tits and cinching waist. But my arms feel exposed and I want to draw attention away from them and to my assets.

I'm thinking I need some kind of top, shrug, jacket. Any ideas?

Maybe a belt?

Maybe a flower?

Should I go for red accessories and wear the red shoes? or an different colour and wear the black?

What about tights?

Hair up or down?

Maybe a black scarfe over shoulders, black belt, red shoes and white flower in hair? red lipstick?

Links would be appreciated. Thinking maybe a budget of £50 ish?

Have fun !

That's exactly the kind of dress I would wear! I have the same hair as you too Smile

Anyways I would style it as follows

A wee red cardie like this but without the bow motif.

Hair half up/half down with the 'up' bit backcombed like <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=www.cute-easy-hairstyles.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/catherine-zeta-jones-half-hg-de-300x300.jpg&imgrefurl=www.cute-easy-hairstyles.com/2009/04/10/easy-half-up-half-down-hairstyles/&usg=__GYyJ3fn2JOupyJfsAGcBMR4dTjA=&h=300&w=300&sz=19&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=mOiCqtlGE4bRgM:&tbnh=159&tbnw=145&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dhalf%2Bup%2Bhair%2Bpin-up%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26biw%3D1680%26bih%3D905%26tbs%3Disch:1&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=1198&vpy=384&dur=241&hovh=225&hovw=225&tx=129&ty=100&ei=iXHRTLu7A4_qOaOxiYUM&oei=iXHRTLu7A4_qOaOxiYUM&esq=1&page=1&ndsp=49&ved=1t:429,r:27,s:0" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this with a flower like this one

No tights. And black or red shoes.

Cute necklace like this

and lots of attitude Grin

look at the vivienne of holloway website for styling and accessories
i got the yellow dress with black petticoat and cinch belt, i wear mine with a 50's high pony tail and quiff.
i bought a cheap short sleeved black shrug from h&m and a black flower from primark.

Thanks ladies. That's great to have back up! I've bought an angora black shrug, and am now on the look out for a White flower and red belt. Wearing red shoes and nude tights (too cold for bear legs)

That website is gorgeous. If I've lost a stone by Christmas I'm going to treat myself to a gypsy top. Thanks for the suggestion! What are their sizes like? Generous or stingy?
