I need a smart black coat

I have been selected to march in the Remembrance Day Parade in London and I need a smart black over coat - I really don't want to wear my mums Help!

Gawd ummm around the £100 mark? Not sure about style - which would look smarter? I have to wear a scarf which I presume needs to be visible.

It's second row down, the Elham coat - only trouble is I need to wear a scarf so it's not a great neck is it?

Zara have some lovely black coats in at the moment for around £100. There is a better selection in store than online though.

I bought a black wool/cashmere coat from here about 4 years ago (it was £160 though).
Looks very smart and has never bobbled etc. so I think the quality of their wool selection should be good.
They look as if they won't date too much too.

I would eBay for Jaeger, MaxMara or Nicole Farhi. You'll get a wonderful coat for around that, and for a fraction of retail. I bought a gorgeous black cashmere Jaeger jobbie (draping folds at the collar, tie belt) for 60 quid last month. Never been worn (private seller, not a shop)
