Waterproof long coat that will go over a sling?

Am expecting dd2 in Feb, and will be doing a lot of walks to fetch dd1 from nursery (can't go by bike :( ) so I need a coat that will be warm, waterproof, long, and capacious enough to go over a baby in a wrap sling, without just buying size enormo and then not being able to wear it later on.

Any ideas?! Have looked at plenty of the current thread, but they're all quite stylish and slim cut.

That's really tricky. How about this over a coatigan type thing?

Try this. I've seen it somewhere in black.

Oooh Dona that looks rather good. They seem to only have it in XL but will investigate the web.

gore, would need to be something a bit sturdier as the walk will be half an hour each way so could be very sad in the rain!

JumpJockey, I considered that coat when I was still a big time sling wearer - and they told that those sizes come up big, so don't buy anything larger than your normal size. Another MaM coat vendor here. Some made-for-sling coats you can wear also after pregnancy/sling wearing by detaching the extra insert, so do ask the vendor! Another possible option is this - not sure how waterproof that is though. And if you prefer an Aiska poncho (it could be draughtier though) - check here.
