www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/minioffershop.html#nav Dont forget to put in your 15% code in as well.

I would recommend, the girls short duffles and the padded jacket with removal arms!!

I take it the cardi wasnt reduced?!! The fleece lined anorak is true to size, she will need a jumper under it though if shes going to wear it all Winter, why dont you order the next one up and send one back?

Sazisi · 04/11/2010 16:54

No it wasn't reduced Blush I have been wanting it for ages though. I have a thing for orange. And cashmere. In my defence, it's 2 or 3 years since I bought myself a cashmere cardigan :o

She is still wearing last Winter's warm coat which should fit until Spring; this will be perfect for after :)
I'm in Ireland so we don't get free returns, makes ordering in two sizes and sending one back a costly exercize unfortunately. I'm fairly sure 5-6 would be too big though (wish they did coats in single sizes!)

EasterEggHuntIsOver · 04/11/2010 16:55

Hi kittya, did you buy the girls' two-in-one jacket in pink by any chance? Was thinking about getting that one for DD.

kittya · 04/11/2010 18:43

I only know the feedback from my nieces, the purple is a more stunning colour with lovely orange lining. On the other hand, the pink is bubblegum and girly, so would depend on the child. It has a shine to it which my niece loves but she is a pink child.

Great value and lovely and warm. We went a full size up and they will have to beable to wear jumpers under them. Its cold up North!!

They love them but, they love the short duffle just that little bit more.

Oh that's great, thanks for the info kittya :)
I bought the Johnnie B duffle earlier, which DD loves. Just need a more practical everyday coat, and the two-in-one sounds perfect!

kittya · 04/11/2010 20:52

Let me know how you get on.

XTHB woks for £10 off

moragbellingham · 05/11/2010 17:20

Sazisi, I bought the fleece lined anorak size 3/4 for my 3 1/2 year old. sent it back for the 5/6 as there's not too much difference in size and this will last longer.
Saw a little girls at school today in it and it's lovely.

Would've got the pink 2 in 1 jacket but sold outSad
Green/red boys coats have boy colour linings so Confused

kittya · 05/11/2010 17:44

The short duffle is lovely

Sazisi · 05/11/2010 23:11

Oh cock (sorry - is swearing allowed on boden threads Confused :o), I hope it will be okay.. it has been sent now so too late to change my mind. Oh well, I will know soon enough! I just want it to fit her until this time next year really. Fingers crossed :)

I've ordered the short duffle for DD2 (sized up because I bought her a purple 2in1 last year which still fits), it looks so lovely! Glad to hear you concur Kittya :)

kittya · 06/11/2010 10:39

yes, the short duffle is the way to go!

OP posts:
maxybrown · 06/11/2010 10:46

Do you think the short duffle is unisex? I did see someone put that on review, but I reckon the check would loook lovely on DS Blush

EasterEggHuntIsOver · 06/11/2010 13:28

Our pink 2-in-1 jacket arrived this morning :)
Lovely shade of pink, nice thick fleece lining. Outer fabric is thinner than I expected, but feels very soft, and is not as shiny as on website.

Loving the girls' short duffles but not sure I can justify buying another coat Confused

I would think the blue check duffle would look lovely on a boy. Does not seem to have any obvious girly details. No-one (apart from Bodenites) would know it's from Girl Boden.

kittya · 06/11/2010 14:58

Use one for school and one for "best" or, like my sister said, one is for the rain, the other for the wind!!

I dont even think they will knock as much as that off in the sales.

OP posts:
Sazisi · 06/11/2010 16:56

I agree the check would be great on a boy, very The Goonies :o

maxybrown · 06/11/2010 18:28

Grin oh yeah, cool!

EasterEggHuntIsOver · 06/11/2010 20:06

Can I just say kittya, what a generous auntie you are! Your nieces are very lucky (and they will look so stylish this winter) :)

onadietcokebreak · 06/11/2010 20:15

I am so tempted to get the star boys fleece anorak for next year. Ds is now 3 and still in 2 to 3 clothes quite comfortably.

What are bodens sizes like. What size shall I get?

maxybrown · 06/11/2010 20:22

onadietcokebreak - it is lovely. My DS is 3.2 almost and 2/3 comfortably fits. I have ordered 3/4 for next year Blush My DS is slim and prob 50th centile height wise.

Their sizes can be touch and go really tbh!

onadietcokebreak · 06/11/2010 20:30

Thanks maxybrown. Just doing an audit of ds clothes. The bottom line is that he doesn't need another one. But even do says get it! Do you reckon a 4-5 will be massive next year. He's skinny but tall

maxybrown · 06/11/2010 20:39

Hmm, I know that another mumsnetter has the 3/4 for her almost 5 year old. Don't they jump to 5/6 after 3/4? Can't remember. Have a look at the measurements online - I'll stick a pic on my profile now of DS in the 2/3. he weighs about 13kg if that helps any and is about 94cm

onadietcokebreak · 06/11/2010 20:48

Thanks maxy. Yes jump to 5/6 afterwards. How rubbish! Ds is 17kg would need to check height.

Pic would be helpful.

Ps think it was you that sold me his next hungry caterpillar tshirt- his looks cute it in!

maxybrown · 06/11/2010 20:52

ah yes, most probably Grin how 3 is he? DS was only 3 mid sept. Pics up now - click onm y name Grin

onadietcokebreak · 06/11/2010 20:56

Mine was 3 end of sept. Your ds is so cute. I turned to dp and said I want a blonde boy! Going to ordered both and return one. Do they normally have similar patterns each year? I love the stars one.

maxybrown · 06/11/2010 21:07

Are you going to order a blonde boy AND a coat I wonder? Grin I can send him to you if you like, I have box he'd fit in Grin

I haven't seen the stars one before - normally I find the Boden winter coats boring and so have never bbought one before this year!

Though not much between them age wise and yours is a tad heavier than my lightweight so maybe size up then? But good idea to order both whilst on offer - don't forget to find a working offer code to use with it too!
