I need help with a camel coloured skirt

I have bought this skirt on a whim, and now have no idea what to wear with it. I'm tall, so want to wear my flat, brown mid-calf boots. What colour/type of top and can I wear black tights? Please don't laugh, I am a style free zone.

Oh God, it's hideous isn't it. See, this is why I tend to live in jeans. It definitely doesn't go with this browny/burgundy rollneck, navy tights and white slipper boot things. I am a classy bird, me.

I asked a similar question about camel skirts recently. I think it has to go with natural coloured tights. Mine is longer (but also a flared style) and I have worn it with black twin set, natural tights and mid height heels, channelling Mad Men....

The colour IS hard to wear as a skirt because of the tights thing. I think you have to keep it simple....I'm not sure that your boots WILL go with it, but I'm no guru

Aaaaagh! I thought it was lovely! And why only flesh coloured tights? Loosen up a little and throw away that "fashion by numbers" book.
What about dark green tights,with a cute blouse?
