short (5ft1)
blonde, curly hair, v curvy, size 8-10 depending on shop, quite big boobs , best asset tricky but proob waist and boobs. not great legs but ok with opaques.

I want to loook effortlessly stylish, not underdressed, not overdressed. I really want to step outside of my comfor zone of jeans. I usually wear blue or pink as it makes my eyes and skin look nice.

Any ideas?

What kind of pub is it? Do you think it's a dress occasion or more of a tunic and tights/leggings affair?

takingchances · 30/10/2010 16:13

Either way I am loving this dress which would show off your small waist and your fab boobs.
They have it in a short-sleeve version as well here
Will look on French Connection now, they have some good stuff in their print ads at the moment

its a casual local pub but lots of people coming so I want to look nice. I do wear leggings but would never wear them out as I have ..ahem..sturdy thighs.thank you though

I like that second reiss one , thank you.. I just wish I had longer legs to wear those boots. normal dresses with heels just seem a little formal. I like the patterned dress in fc..ill link.

In red or in black? I'm liking it, v pretty and fresh. It's quite summery though and I don't know if it would do your figure justice. Small waist and big boobs - you'd want to show them off!

bishboschone · 30/10/2010 17:12

oh bugger , I thought it was blue. black is a but harsh with my colouring.

have you any ideas what would suit my figure. I am usually ok but as I get older I struggle to know what to wear.

Similar FC one with a v neck (to showcase norks) in navy-blue with white print: here

now that I think about it, even.

Well you sound v lucky with your figure and colouring but here are a few tips:
If you are on the petite side then don't go for two different colours top and bottom, they will chop you in half.
Ankle straps and ankle boots will chop your leg length. In summer go for nude shoes with low-cut fronts to lengthen your legs, in winter go for shoe-boots or knee-high boots.
V-neck and wrap tops and dresses will be excellent for showing off your lovely small waist and good boobs.
Polo necks are generally bad if you have big boobs because you will look like one big boob from your chin down.
Sounds like you're good on colours already...

FolornHope · 30/10/2010 17:18

oh god not the wrap top crap
they make your tits Look HUGE

takingchances · 30/10/2010 17:18

That's nice! Why don't you wear that with opaques and heels?

bishboschone · 30/10/2010 17:20

I would like to wear these but I feel my legs are too thick :(

bishboschone · 30/10/2010 17:22

Yeah , I think that is my back up plan, just fancied a really on trend outfit that also suited me (tricky)..thanks for the advice.

what heels do you think, I have a pair of patent hidden wedge court shoes, they are a bit like laboutins , but not. Not sure I feel I would like some more on trend shoes but these do suit me and make my legs look thinner than they are so I guess I should be happy with that.

Thanks seven ,I like that red whistles one,may be a tadge overboard for my local though. What I meant for budget is within reason because I find it hard to get clothes that a,I like and b,like me so if something fits and I like it I'll buy it. Thanks for looking.
