Jumper dress recommendation

Just had this delivered from Next and I'm really impressed with it :) I'm a size 14, 5'5" and it's very flattering over my black skinny jeans. I'd say it's long enough (on me anyway) to wear with tights as a dress as well.

It is quite itchy though, so you need to wear a long sleeved top underneath. It's quiet generously sized as well, I could probably get away with a 12 but don't like things too tight around my tum Wink

I've started a similar thread about my white co merino tunic - I need a short slip I think but the M&S one does'nt get a good review so looking for suggestions.

Butterbur · 29/10/2010 13:48

They've sold out of all middle range sizes - only very large and very small left, sadly.

MrsMeow · 29/10/2010 13:59

Oh sorry Butterbur, I didn't think to check. What size are you after? I ordered a 14 and a 16 to check for size - the 14 has taken about 4 weeks to arrive though and the 16 hasn't got here yet, but if you wanted a 16 I'd be happy to keep hold of it for you?

Hobbittoes, I was just reading that! I assume you'll be wearing yours as a dress? I am going to just wear a tight ls black top under mine, tucked into jeans, but am thinking I might try and find a fitted body for when I wear it with leggings. Would a body work for you?

That's a lovely thought, MM. Sadly I'm 12-14 at the moment (have been 16 for much of the last decade though, so I'm not that sad really).

LOVE that dress MrsMeow!! That is gorgeous and as I am also a size 14 and an inch taller than you it would prob look good on me too however I cannot wear anything remotely itchy/woolly Confused

Such a shame as I am on the lookout for a jumper dress at the moment but so many are woollen / too itchy for me.

MrsMeow · 29/10/2010 16:27

Oh you definitely don't want the 16 then Butterbur, it would drown you!

Sparkle1977 it is lovely, so flattering, even over my lump & bumps but it is pretty itchy. Could you not get away with it with a longsleeved top underneath?

Ooh I want it. I might hit the shops this weekend. I have been looking for something like that. Good work!

Thing is I find things like that mainly itch my neck so I'd have to wear a polo neck top or something like that underneath which would rather spoil the whole thing!

MrsMeow · 30/10/2010 12:41

Yeah I see what you mean...it's quite scoop necked. Although I don't think it would look too bad with a polo neck under tbh!
