Maternity halloween costume

Can anyone suggest a costume that I can either buy/make for Saturday night that will fit round my 39 weeks pregnant belly?

Ideally something that shows off pregnancy rather than just covers it, and something very cheap/easy to construct.

Many thanks in advance

Id wear black leggings and a black t shirt with an alice band and a cats tail pinned to your bottom - face paint and there you go a lucky black pussy cat.

Or wear a white sheet and go as a ghost?

Grin lurve the pumpkin idea

does it have to be scary?

Gemjar · 28/10/2010 18:43

doesn't have to be scary especially, as it is technically for an engagement party, but Halloween related in some way would be good

i'd definitely go as a pumpkin then!

I like the cat idea, I have done this. Have some pink and black ears on an alice band. And you can buy a cats nose thing to wear.

Or you could go as a pregnant skeleton, paint your skeleton onto black costume with a mini skeleton for the baby. This maybe only for those with a slightly dark sense of humour?

One year my aunt was heavily pregnant and she wore denim maternity dungarees with a checked shirt underneath. She then wore a white plastic swim cap but used the same flesh colour all over it and her face. Added two rosy cheeks....Humpty Dumpty!! It was hilarious, just depends how game for a laugh you are!
