threading hair removal

I have been having my eyebrows and upper lip threaded for about a year, and I am coming to the conclusion that it is causing v bad under the skin spots (you know the horrible painful red lumpy ones)

I was just getting a few sometimes one to two weeks after having it done, but this last time I have had about 6 or 7 really bad ones round my mouth.

Has anyone else had similar probs from threading, is it just the place i am going to is not v good or is this something that can happen? thinking of going back to waxing.

I regularly have my eyebrows threaded and have never had any problems - have you considered trying somewhere else?

Threading kills ! am never having it done again.

Could it be ingrown hairs? (sometimes the hair follicles get infected and look like spots). Maybe try exfoliating? Also make sure the area is very clean before starting, and don't touch it immediately afterwards!

I got skin problems from waxing but have been much better since switching to the Epicare threader - maybe it's just a case of what suits your skin type etc.
