Who else has it? Mine arrived today and I love it but need to lose about half a stone - have porked out so much this last week.

Me!

It'a tad too wide across the neck but apart from that, it is absolutely perfect.
The last time I wore a body con dress was1 years ago when I was 19 and I have been trying to find one for a while now but they all make me look vaguely tartly (I'm the same shape as Joan from Mad Men but many dress sizes smaller so I have to be careful as most tight stuff makes me look tacky) so I adore this dress, in fact I'd go as far as to declare that it's as it's both demure and sexy, it's the holy grail of dresses!

I can't wait for my boyfriend to see it on me.

(I've just ordered it in black Grin )

childrenofthecornsilk · 27/10/2010 22:08

it's fab isn't it!
Are you 20 now then?I am quite a lot bit older than that so not as slim as I once was.

Ha, I meant to type 16 years ago!

I seem to get slimmer as I get older. Or maybe it's just my boobs get bigger so everything else seems smaller Confused

And yes, it's great, I feel positively evangelical about it/the company Grin

childrenofthecornsilk · 27/10/2010 22:17

Me too - they are so classy

meltedmarsbars · 27/10/2010 22:20

Are you all pregnant?

childrenofthecornsilk · 27/10/2010 22:26

meltedmarsbars · 27/10/2010 22:27

zombishambles · 27/10/2010 22:29

Am a bit Envy I couldnt look good in that at all. I just dont go that short now.

Are you going to wear it to the party?

childrenofthecornsilk · 27/10/2010 22:32

isn't short though - is down to my knees and I'm 5'6''. It's going to be my xmas dress - works xmas do etc etc

OP posts:
zombishambles · 27/10/2010 22:33

Oh really? On the site it looks really short. Like mid-thigh

childrenofthecornsilk · 27/10/2010 22:34

Maybe the model is freakishly tall

happilyeverafter · 27/10/2010 23:07

I have a skirt to return to them and wondered whether to exchange for this.

What kind of height/dress size are people who it works for? I fear I may not be slim enough.

childrenofthecornsilk · 27/10/2010 23:12

I am 5'6'' and size 10/12 and bought a C

OP posts:
happilyeverafter · 27/10/2010 23:17

That sounds good thanks!

I may give it a whirl but I'm disillusioned after the pegs were so hideous on me then the skirt in exchange was massively too long.

I do love the cable cosy though

higgle · 28/10/2010 07:07

Mine arrived yesterday! I'm 5'3" and I ordered a size3 which is a perfect fit. Yes, it is very clingy, but the classy colour and design means it doesn't make you look at all tarty. Mine is also designated for a couple of smart lunches and our work Christmas outing. I have the Obi belt too but it looks lovely without it. The ruching means you can vary the length a little, but at the end of the day it is short, no two ways about it.

sansucre · 28/10/2010 08:45

I'm 5'5" and if I don't ruche terribly it much, it sits just above my knees.. maybe I've got a rogue extra long one Hmm

sansucre · 28/10/2010 08:46

ooh, and I meant to add higgle, I'm so glad it's arrived and that you love it!

coffeenut · 28/10/2010 10:26

i like this dress but alas it does look far too short. I wonder if I can order an "extra long" one too sansucre? Grin
