Yesterday I tried on almost every pair of black straight leg trousers I could find in town as I've been searching for ages. I'm a 16/14 with something of a tummy and a bit of a bottom, so I find trousers difficult. To be big enough to fit over my rounded middle they're often baggy around the waist, which means I have to use a belt. It means I end up with an 80's sinched baggy look around the tummy area, fine most of the time as I'm fond of long tunic/dress type tops so it's covered, but I would like to not be restricted to this look all the time.
Anyway Uniqlo heat tech trousers are it - they are a fairly high rise, so the waist is about level with my tummy button. All lovely and sucked in - no muffin top, I repeat no muffin top! The fabric is somewhere between a heavy jersey and regular trouser fabric with lots of stretch. Fit is somewhere between skinny and straightleg - I love the Boden straightleg jeans and it's very similar.
Had to share.
