best "make me a size smaller and hide my tummy" underwear

So I've bought a couple of dresses which I really love...but are slightly on the clingy side. Well actually they fit well in all the right places...but cling to my unsightly tummy bulge. Its me, not the dresses. So I was wondering if you lovely ladies could recommend some knickers/tights/full body armour which could help smooth and reduce my tummy (bum would also be good, but tummy is a must!) I've heard of the trinny and suzanna range and spanx (or have me and Freud made that one up?!) Are any of these good or are there any others you'd suggest? Cheers loads

I like the Sloggi control pants, but the ones I've got only go up a little way so will still get slight overhang issue, as it were, if you have a bit of a bulge higher up. I think they would work well in the CS area though.

They do very little for mmy arse it has to be said, but are good for the illusion of firmness - I probably have four buttocks, to everyone else, but I feel great Grin

I've tried gok, the M&S things and plenty of other squish it in shapewear, but nothing worked better than my spanx cognito mid thigh shaper thingy. I had to wear a belt tightened to the extreme when I wore this.

I like M&S shapewear

Use the waist definer (or something like that) not the tummy ones - they go much higher up so you don't get unfortunate overhang

if you need bum too, get bum ones to wear as well? Though I am suspicious of bum ones as they make it all a bit solid-looking iyswim

I bought some tummy shaping knicker things in Sainsbury's the other day. They worked a treat.
