what can i do to feel better about myself? at the moment all i see/feel is a frumpy, fat, wrinkly, ugly person. its really getting me down. i have no sense of style i just bung on jeans that look too tight or leggings, big t shirt, no make up. i wish i could change my face - i hate it so much, i have 2 beautiful sisters and i look completely crap compared to them. my face is wrinkly, puffy and saggy!! btw im 40, 5foot5 and size 12. when i look in the mirror all i see is flab! my hair is bleached beyond recognition too,and much too long, aaagghhh i hate myself. ijust saw some recent photos of myself and feel ashamed that i am so ugly!sorry for the rant. any tips on getting myself looking/feeling better?? i dont have any money so this is tips that are 'free' iyswim!!

Since I started taking a long hot bath at least once a week, I've started feeling better about myself. Turn the lights off and light candles and chill out! Use that time to do a mini-facial on yourself(cleanse, tone, exfoliate, face mask, massage etc), de-fuzz and exfoliate all over. I also use a hair mask while in the bath to keep it in good condition. Finish off with a nice all-over moisturiser afterwards.

Hair- is it long enough to do the MN haircut? It's free and easy and looks good, imo.

Your size...if you are 5ft5 and only size 12, you must have a great figure! :) I'm shorter than you and a size bigger! So I'm jealous!! Envy Sounds like you're lacking in self-esteem/confidence

As for clothes/style, I'm the wrong one to give you advice but hopefully someone else will be along shortly with cheap tips on how to update your wardrobe. My only tip is accessorise with scarves....a simple, cheap new scarf can win you a whole new look with old clothes. Ditto with belts.

Have fun with your new self and hope you feel a whole lot better soon :)
