Please could I have ideas for dressy but simple tops to go with this skirt

I bought this skirt today as it fitted really well. But the baby decided she won't take a bottle, and was at home with increasingly stressed dh, so I ran out of shopping time to find a top to go with it Grin. I have millions of black tops but none look right with it. Can anyone recommend anything please? If it helps I am a 12/14 and have a bit of a post pregnancy belly which attempts to disguise by wearing loose tops normally leads to questions about when I am due Blush Sad

I like that. Phase Eight had a black top with a v fine chain detail on the neckline, last time I looked in there. But tbh I'd probably just wear that with a very fine-knit cashmere v neck in black or in a really pale grey.

Agree with BG - I'd wear it with a black/grey tee and add a statement necklace or collar.

Thanks, both of you. Are there any specific tops that you have seen? I'm struggling to find anything online...

I just bought this and it is quite nice. It isn't tight around tummy but not loose either and you can tuck into a skirt like the one you have. It's a silky fabric, slightly see through (may need black cami underneath) Not sure the fabrics will match (this is the issue i am having!) but it might work? You would have to find something to wear over it.

Yes that Warehouse one looks worth a look.

Reiss have tons of dressy jersey tops, not quite sure how they would combine and if that's the look you'd like?
Nice and drapey though!

Zara have a black pussy bow (what a name!) shirt that's a little silky. I have similar tummy issues and it skims nicely tucked into a skirt.

Thanks, will check out Zara and Reiss
