To celebrate my weigh loss, my dad has given me some money to treat myself to some new boots. I have wanted Uggs for ages, and am finally going to get them!

Now, I am torn between www.uggaustralia.com/gb/ProductDetails.aspx?gID=w&productID=1876&model=Classic%20Cardy%20Metallic

or <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=www.ugghyves.com/images/ugg-boots-sale/Black-Classic-Argyle-Knit-UGG-Boots.jpg&imgrefurl=www.ugghyves.com/stripe-cable-knit-uggs-c-14/black-cream-stripe-cable-knit-ugg-boots-p-61&h=350&w=350&sz=17&tbnid=rIIpCqt2CKYnWM:&tbnh=120&tbnw=120&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dargyle%2Bknit%2Buggs&zoom=1&q=argyle+knit+uggs&hl=en&usg=__lpKSmF-OnFNnTrh3auIWqxgA_24=&sa=X&ei=9F_ETObuBJWTjAeckfS4BQ&ved=0CDcQ9QEwBg" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=www.ugghyves.com/images/ugg-boots-sale/Black-Classic-Argyle-Knit-UGG-Boots.jpg&imgrefurl=www.ugghyves.com/stripe-cable-knit-uggs-c-14/black-cream-stripe-cable-knit-ugg-boots-p-61&h=350&w=350&sz=17&tbnid=rIIpCqt2CKYnWM:&tbnh=120&tbnw=120&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dargyle%2Bknit%2Buggs&zoom=1&q=argyle+knit+uggs&hl=en&usg=__lpKSmF-OnFNnTrh3auIWqxgA_24=&sa=X&ei=9F_ETObuBJWTjAeckfS4BQ&ved=0CDcQ9QEwBg

or www.shoplift.com/Uggs-Womens-Classic-Short-Boots-Chestnut/M/B003VRJXIY.htm?traffic_src=GB&utm_medium=CSE&utm_source=GB&id=uk

so either metallic cardy, argyle knit or classic

what do you reckon?

and will i love them as much as i hope??

Ooo well done lulu, how much have you lost?
I'd go for the classic ones myself. I had mine on today and love them. Just be sure to slather them in all weather protector stuff, my first Uggs were ruined when I got caught in a rainshower and the colour from my jeans bled into them :(
The comfiest, snuggest (and ok, maybe ugliest) shoes you will ever own, but worth every penny. I'm a flipflop lover and would wear them all year round if I could, but Uggs are my winter fallback

Lulumaam · 24/10/2010 17:41

16lbs , weigh in tomorrow night..

thank you !

what protector do you need and is it the same for the cardy ones?

I have long classics in black. I love them, I don't care what the Ugg haters say Wink

They are so comfortable and I have worn them loads, I would like a pair of short classics this year but not sure I can justify the cost at the momentSad

Lulumaam · 24/10/2010 17:45

i am used to hating, i like crocs too Wink

is it only worth getting the classics if you wear skinny jeans and tuck them in, do you think?

i wear leggings a lot and thought cardy boots were better for that?

OP posts:

I wear my classics more with leggings than with jeans but only because I don't really do skinny jeans much.

I love the cardy ones but was a bit worried about their durability.

Lulumaam · 24/10/2010 18:07

ok, thank you for your advice x

DP bought me my Uggs last year, and I love them so so much! They were worn virtually every day last winter (except the wet ones) and aren't showing any signs of wear. They are so comfy, it's just a shame that the weather is so cold that I have to wear tights as the feel of the sheepskin is so nice!

Mine are always worn with skirts or dresses (I hate jeans).

They're classics btw (the medium length ones) and in the aubergine colour, never seen anyone else wearing them that colour which is even better!

newmum001 · 24/10/2010 18:13

I LOVE my Uggs!!

Have the Cardi ones in Grey and although they are really comfy they have now gone a bit baggy and saggy and not exactly the warmest. I also have the classic long in chocolate and they are sooooo comfy!! I've had them for over a year and they still look new, just be careful not to wear them if it's raining hard!

In my oppinion the long ones are far more versatile, go with leggings, skinny jeans and boyfiend jeans etc.

Lulumaam · 24/10/2010 18:40

thank you both too!

I am going to try them all on and decide, but am leaning more towards the cardi ones..

Def go with classics, why would you want knitted boots? Confused They'll be totally rubbish in rain & snow!

4andnotout · 24/10/2010 18:46

I have black cardi uggs which are lovely, they are very comfy but horrid if they get wet!
I recently bought a pair of chestnut mid length Love From Australia uggs and they are my favourite boots by far (and I have a lot of boots!) the sheepskin is so warm ad snuggly and they fit lovely on my chunky muscular calves Wink
well done on the weightloss btw :)

Lulumaam · 25/10/2010 15:27

thank you all for the advice ! I went today, deciding on the cardy ones as I have two really decent pairs of black leather knee high boots.. and they'd SOLD OUT! should be getting a pair in a couple of weeks.. oh well.. i'm sure they'll be worth the way Smile
