What is the sizing and quality of the clothes like? Does anyone wear this brand, they have some quite nice dresses up to size 18 but never seen them 'in the flesh'

The clothes do not wear well. They do tend to fall apart after very few washes.

Sizing is comfy, I have a few things from them, but if you shop around you can find better quality for a lot cheaper!

I've never had any problems with Joe Browns clothes. I have a couple of tops and skirts from there (mostly second hand) and they wear really well. Sizes quite accurate too ime.

Agree with Show. Always been happy with the stuff I've had from them.

I have several Joe Brown's skirts - I love the fabrics and the styles. However, I do find the larger sizes are nowhere near the size they state they are.

I am a 26 in skirts, and I have to buy a 30 in Joe Brown's skirts if they are partially elasticated, and a 32 if they aren't elasticated. I know I'm no sylph, but I am not a size bloody 32 either.

The huge differences in sizing is annoying - though I am happy enough to be a size 22 in M&S yoga trousers (just had to slip that in, to counter the size 32 bit BlushGrin).

Thanks everyone - its just from some of the reviews it seems some of the fabrics are very thin and 'cheap'.

Interesting about the sizing but think I might give them a try.

the sizing is skimpy.

but simply be stock joe browns up to a size 32 i think ..

i bought a tunic last year, £40 or so, as soon as it arrived, it went straight back, it was like a rag, i would have paid £8 - £10 for it maximum

knitwear very good though and worht the £££

summery · 24/10/2010 16:33

One of the items I like is knitwear and a tea dress which looks a bit different from others I have seen

HauntingTheTardis your the same as me there.

have some stuff from there I love and some with mixed reviews. SimplyBe have there stuff upto a size 32.

I had 2 pairs of jeans one lush and one rubbish and wore out straight away. Its a little pricey for what it is but sometimes worth it to have something a bit different.
