I need trouser help

I need some trousers. But it's so long since I bought myself clothes that I haven't a clue where to start!! This is what I'm after:

  • bootleg cut
  • cord, velvet or denim
  • dark brown, wine or navy (don't wear black)
  • short fit (I'm 5'2")
  • buy online

Not asking for much am I?

some nice ones here

starlover · 13/09/2005 21:57

next also have some... but their site is shit to link from

also, i had a nightmare with them when i ordered online!

Miaou · 13/09/2005 22:11

Quite like their bootleg jeans - thanks

But as I so rarely get to spend money on myself I was hoping for something a bit "different" - think maybe I'm a bit out of step with what I'm after!

Damn, I got some fabulous wine cords in Monsoon last year, in Shortarse length (I'm even shorter than you) but they don't seem to be online. Blast.

Miaou · 16/09/2005 21:42

That's a shame, MI.

Don't think you are shorter, I bought maternity trousers from you and they fitted fine

Or maybe I'm shorter than I think I am, lol!

PS, I read Monsoon as Morrisons when I opened this thread, don't think so somehow!!!!

I could once again post a link to the slouch trousers I have from Next???

motherinferior · 16/09/2005 21:44

Have a look at Kew or Jigsaw online, and get them shortened?

motherinferior · 16/09/2005 21:46

They aren't online at the moment (they come and go on the site) but I'm raving about the M&S Limited Collection Joanne jeans, which are a great fit and come in Shortarse.

Miaou · 16/09/2005 21:47

Does slouch mean baggy? I have quite a long body and short legs so baggy makes me look like a duck

I've had shortened bootleg trousers before - that's a last resort, I think! However will have a look, thanks

Nothing on ebay either...argh!

Typed in kew.co.uk and got a travel agency, typed in jigsaw.co.uk and got a dating agency!!!

I am dooooooooomed ..... will have to live in maternity trousers until I am a size 10 again (which will probably be never )

OP posts:
MrsSpoon · 16/09/2005 22:08

They are baggy from the knee down, can't get onto the website just now to check if they do a short length. Doesn't sound like they are what you are looking for.

Miaou · 16/09/2005 22:13

FCUK site needs the latest flash download to view it - I am banned from downloading stuff because dh has to spend ages "fixing" the computer then!!!!

Told you. I'm doooomed.

Doesn't help that I live in the middle of nowhere with only a Mackays to shop in!!!!

OP posts:
Miaou · 16/09/2005 22:14

OK. I'm going to work my way through the buttons that mn links to.

Wish me luck. I'm going in......

MrsSpoon · 16/09/2005 22:16

Arrrrhhhhhgggg!!! Mackays, I hate that shop with a vengence!!!

Miaou · 16/09/2005 22:27

Nearest thing for about 60 miles, MrsSpoon

OP posts:
Miaou · 16/09/2005 22:27

Hmmm ..... not the colour I wanted, but what about these?

OP posts:
MrsSpoon · 16/09/2005 22:33

, I guess you shop on the net quite a bit then?

I like the Principles trousers but wonder if the colour is really suitable for winter?

Miaou · 16/09/2005 22:41

Hmm yes I wondered that, but I suppose they aren't any paer than stonewashed jeans.

Right, will order them and see what they look like.

OP posts:
MrsSpoon · 16/09/2005 22:41

You can always send them back or keep them for the Spring.

MrsSpoon · 16/09/2005 22:42

I mean if you don't think they will do for the winter.

Miaou · 16/09/2005 23:03

That's what I thought too!

Right, trousers ordered, baby fed, off to bed
