Bedroom colours

Just a quick question ... we have cream walls, gold silk curtains, similar to this although this isn't the fabric and white bedlinen. Could I put this throw & cushions on the bed in charcoal or would the dark grey be too cold and masculine against the gold? Thanks!

You could put charcoal- but I'd go for taupes and beiges. Or my personal choice would be as a contrast like a pale duck egg/turquoise.
I have off white walls, a medium brown wooden blind, biscuit coloured carpet, old pine furniture ( hate it but cannot afford to change) white bed linen and a duck egg throw.

I am not entirely sure charcoal will go with gold... perhaps something like this would be better expensive but lovely. I also like this and agree duck egg would be good, but at this time of year I prefer warmer colours.
