Can't afford to have it coloured or highlighted so my mom is going to put a colour on for me on thursday night.

At the mo it is just past shoulder length, straight and boring and in desperate need of a cut.

Am really not sure what i want it to be like other than that it can't be faffy as i don't have the time or the patience and it needs to be a style that will discourage me from tying it back all the time.

Only thing i won't consider is having it short as I always regret it.

nutcraker - don't do anything too drastic without being sure!
I had long curly hair which is a bit unruly and dry/frizzy at times, and stupidly had it cut into a bob on Saturday...
It's not really short - but I wish it was longer again! I am getting used to it a bit now, but hated it at first.

get some long layers cut in for body, have it just on the shoulder and cut so that it 'kicks out' a bit when you push it behind your ears (if you do that...i know i do)...and leave it at that...?
