He's almost 4 and we're going to a wedding at the weekend so I want him to look smart. He's wearing beige (or sand to quote Boden) chino-type trsrs from Boden and today I bought this shirt for him to wear with them. It's a much nicer colour of blue than it looks in the picture. Think it's the sort of shirt that needs a t-shirt or something underneath it - yes/no, what colour etc? I'm not v. good at this! Also, this is the real downer, he's got to wear sandals (unless I can squeeze him into last year's boots) cos we haven't bought is winter footwear yet and there's no way he's wearing his trainers! Help!

I think that shirt looks lovely, and if it weas me I wouldn't put a t-shirt underneath for a wedding, just leaave top button undone.
Sandals would be fine unless it rains.
Does he have school shoes he could wear?

Thanks Spykid ... no school shoes unfortunately - just summer 'wardrobe' of sandals & trainers - although I'll try last year's winter shoes on (they're boot like but not heavy) and if they still fit, they'll look smart.
