Uggs - is this a legit site?

looking at Ugg boots, came across this site - looks pretty legit but prices really low. The bailey boot is selling for £160 at John Lewis, but here they're selling for £70 ish. My sensible head says they can't possibly be genuine, but the website looks so official. Any thoughts?

Probably not. There's a list of official stockists on the Ugg website.

TequilaMockinBird · 21/10/2010 20:14

AFAIK uggaustralia.com is the only genuine site with ugg in its name.

Also, if the prices are too good to be true, it usually means they're fake. You wont get genuine UGG's for less than about £120 IME

ABitBatty · 21/10/2010 20:15

If it sounds too good to be true...

ABitBatty · 21/10/2010 20:16

Look at what it says on the top bar of the page 'replica boots, china fashion boots, cheap boots' Hmm

weepootle · 21/10/2010 20:17

If they aren't listed as stockists on the official Ugg website then they aren't real. There's no way they can be real at that price anyway.

theladylovescupcakes · 21/10/2010 20:26

Abitbatty - I can't see that on my page, just says UK boots online sale. Have been through it with a fine tooth comb, still looks genuine, but I know what you mean about "if it's too good to be true.... etc".

Thought I was getting a REAL bargain!

If there's no address or phone number listed on the site (and I can't see one) then I wouldn't touch them!

theladylovescupcakes · 21/10/2010 20:37

good point meala. have just opened uggaustralia.com and it's scary how similar they are! i'm sure a lot of people have been conned.

There are loads of fake Ugg sites out there. All have similar names cheapuggs.com, uggsaleuk.com, ukuggs.com etc..

A lot of people have and are being conned, there are forums and threads all over the internet from such people Sad

FimboBBINGFORAPPLES · 21/10/2010 20:41

I think if you go on the Martin Lewis website it tells you where is the best place to buy them.

John Lewis had the cardy uggs reduced to £65 in brown a couple of weeks ago (in store), I tried to get them for dd but the only had a 3 or an 8 left.

funkychunkymunky · 21/10/2010 20:43

Easy way to tell. If no contact tel no then it's probably a Chinese site. This one has no tel no.

winnybella · 21/10/2010 20:53

Yeah, no phone number, address...just one email address to contact them. No way it's legit. The returns policy also seems a bit dodgy.

I'm wearing my Uggs right now and the ones they show on the site look exactly the same- I wonder whether they show photos of the original ones and then send you counterfeit ones or are the counterfeit ones so good that they look the same as the original?
